There are 8,725 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Tuesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Monday and Tuesday is 98.

7 new infections have been confirmed in Helsinki (total 3,080). 18 in Lahti (138), 14 in Äänekoski (27), 9 in Mänttä-Vilppula, 6 in Tampere (185), 5 in Vantaa (1,032), 5 in Asikkala, 5 in Saarijärvi, 5 in Jyväskylä (171), 4 in Järvenpää (133), 3 in Hämeenlinna (63), 3 in Seinäjoki (37), 2 in Hollola (18), 2 in Valkeakoski (17), 2 in Espoo (1,050), 2 in Heinola (7), 1 in Kouvola (32), 1 in Ylöjärvi (17), 1 in Vihti (36), 1 in Muurame (12), 1 in Oulu (114), 1 in Laukaa (11), 1 in Lempäää (11), 1 in Pietarsaari (7), 1 in Kuhmo (30), 1 in Turku (298).

Two new deaths related to the coronavirus have been confirmed. The death toll is now 339.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
