The coronavirus contractions keep spreading in schools in Sipoo.

A member of the staff in Gumbostrands School has been infected with COVID-19. 13 students are exposed to the virus and have been transferred to home quarantine on Tuesday where they will continue learning through remote connections.
According to the municipality of Sipoo, the remaining students of classes 0-6, about 37 (50 students attend the school), will continue attending contact teaching by following proper hygienic measures.
On Sunday, Finland Today reported that classes 4-6 of Söderkulla School in Sipoo will transfer to distance learning after “a significant number of school teachers and assistants are in quarantine after being in contact with a person who has been contracted with the coronavirus.”
Sipoo is a small municipality of about 20,600 people and is part of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
