National Conciliator Vuokko Piekkala has put forward a proposal for an agreement on Tuesday evening, which may lead to the end of postal strikes.

The involved parties, Palta, the association for service sector businesses, and PAU, the Finnish Post and Logistics Union, have reached an understanding in the position of package sorters, who were initially not included in the negotiations on better terms.

The deadline for the agreement is on Wednesday at 10:00 in the morning.

Should an agreement be reached, the postal strike and its supporting strikes could end quickly.
