HELSINKI

A person was hit by a bus just after midnight on Friday at Lukupolku in northern Helsinki.

According to Tuukka Skottman, inspector on duty at the Helsinki Police Department, the person suffered serious injuries.

“Apparently the person has been dragged underneath the bus for a while,” Skottman said.

Skottman said that the accident most likely didn’t happen at a zebra crossing.

According to Skottman, the events leading to the accident were still unclear, and the police are continuing investigating the incident.
