MORE THAN 150 bus services in the Helsinki region were canceled between 15:30 and 17:00 on Wednesday.

According to HSL, the cancellations were caused by the frost: it was difficult to get the vehicles warm and running.

The frost has also caused problems for buses due to difficult road conditions. In some places, the roads have become so slippery that buses have been unable to complete their routes.

In addition to buses, trains have also been canceled and delayed due to the frost. Many trains operated by the state railway company, VR, have also been canceled or delayed due to the icy conditions over the past few days.
