New rules concerning the opening hours of restaurants come into effect on Thursday.

Starting today, restaurants are allowed to be open between 04:00–01:00. Serving of alcohol is allowed between 09:00–24:00.

Next Monday, the last call for alcohol will come at 22:00 in restaurants in the regions of Uusimaa, Finland Proper, Kanta-Häme, Pirkanmaa and Ostrobothnia. These are areas where the coronavirus is considered spreading rapidly.

In these areas, the restaurants will close at 23:00, and they are allowed to take in only half of their usual number of customers.
