The Finnish men’s national ice hockey team secured a decisive 6–1 victory over Slovakia to claim the Olympic bronze medal at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

There is no question about the outcome. The Lions decisively defeat Slovakia 6–1 with a dominant final period, securing their Olympic bronze medal at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on Saturday.

The Lions’ Olympic bronze medal marked their fifth in history and their eighth overall. Previously, the Lions secured Olympic gold in Beijing, as well as silver medals in Turin (2006) and Calgary (1988).

Erik Haula netted two goals, while Joel Armia contributed one goal and two assists. Roope Hintz, who scored the crucial 3–1 goal, recorded a goal and an assist. Both Miro Heiskanen and Eeli Tolvanen tallied two assists each.

Juuse Saros made several outstanding saves in goal and had a strong tournament.
