Southern Finland is set to experience wintry weather this weekend, with clouds and scattered snow showers moving in from the west while daytime temperatures will hover between 0C and -4C.

On Saturday, clouds will move in and scattered snow showers will gradually spread across Finland from the west.

Throughout the day, almost all regions can expect 2 to 10 centimeters of fresh snow. In southern Finland, moderate southwesterly winds are expected, which may lead to drifting and blowing snow.

Temperatures in the southern areas will generally remain between 0 and -4 degrees Celsius.

Overnight, temperatures in the south will fall to between -2C and -8C.

By early Sunday morning, snowfall is expected to cover the Uusimaa region.

The night before Monday will be clear and cold, with temperatures in southern Finland dropping to between -10 and -20 degrees Celsius.
