The Helsinki Police Department received a call regarding a suspected violent crime on Monday afternoon at 15:51.
According to the report received by the emergency response center, one person had been stabbed in a commercial building on Mannerheimintie. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police apprehended the suspect a few kilometers from the scene.
The man, who is approximately 40 years old, is preliminarily suspected of attempted murder.
