On Tuesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 781 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:

165 in Helsinki, 80 in Tampere, 70 in Vantaa, 65 in Espoo, 29 in Lahti, 25 in Turku, 21 in Oulu, 17 in Kangasala, 16 in Rovaniemi, 14 in Joensuu, 14 in Ylöjärvi, 13 in Rauma, 12 in Hämeenlinna, 11 in Vaasa, 10 in Jyväskylä, 9 in Kirkkonummi, 8 in Kerava, 8 in Nurmijärvi, 8 in Vihti, 7 in Kotka, 7 in Lempäälä, 6 in Lohja, 6 in Kouvola, 6 in Kuopio, 6 in Seinäjoki, 6 in Lappeenranta.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 113, 437.

THL has also confirmed two new deaths related to the coronavirus.

93 (-1) patients are receiving hospital care because of symptoms caused by the coronavirus. 16 patients are in intensive care.
