Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 25,462 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Tuesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Monday and Tuesday is 550.

Six new deaths have been reported since Friday when THL released new numbers on deaths. The death toll is now 399.

There are 23 more people than on Friday in the hospital being treated for the coronavirus. The number is now 175. 18 people are in intensive care, and that’s one patient fewer than on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:

97 in Helsinki (7,853), 68 in Tampere (755), 53 in Lahti (495) and 39 in Vantaa (2,676).
