Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 25,882 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Wednesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Tuesday and Wednesday is 420.
Six new deaths have been reported since Monday when THL released new numbers on deaths. The death toll is now 408.
There are 10 people fewer than on Monday in the hospital being treated for the coronavirus. The number is now 165. Three more patients are in intensive care, and the total is now 18 people.
In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:
130 in Helsinki (7,983), 53 in Vantaa (2,729), 41 in Espoo (2,983) and 20 in Oulu (781).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
