From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 23,148 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 496. (In a press conference on Thursday, Mika Salminen, director of health and security at THL, told that the number would be 570.)
In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:
141 in Helsinki (7,235), 77 in Espoo (2,728), 67 in Vantaa (2,477) and 50 in Lahti (409).
