From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 21,936 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Monday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Sunday and Monday is 297.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 78 in Helsinki (6,886), 46 in Espoo (2,576), 41 in Vantaa (2,323).

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

19 in Tampere, 15 in Lahti, 9 in Rautalampi, 8 in Turku, 6 in Oulu, 5 in Hyvinkää, 4 in Parkano, 4 in Vihti, 3 in Pirkkala, 2 in Mikkeli, 2 in Lieto, 2 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Mustasaari, 2 in Kuopio, 2 in Iitti, 2 in Sipoo, 1 in Naantali, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Vöyri, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Hattula, 1 in Ylöjärvi, 1 in Jämsä, 1 in Pieksämäki, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Hämeenlinna, 1 in Vaasa, 1 in Kemi, 1 in Orimattila, 1 in Keminmaa, 1 in Valkeakoski, 1 in Keminmaa, 1 in Sastamala, 1 in Joensuu, 1 in Hamina, 1 in Savonlinna, 1 in Lempäälä, 1 in Lieksa.

Between Saturday and Sunday, a total of 423 new coronavirus infections were reported.

Most infections were found in Helsinki (145), Espoo (60) and Vantaa (53).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total death toll is 375. There are 104 people in hospital care. 10 people are currently receiving intensive care for the symptoms.
