On Tuesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 420 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:

138 in Helsinki, 45 in Vantaa, 35 in Espoo, 31 in Tampere.

New infections were also confirmed at least in these cities and municipalities:

20 in Turku, 11 in Lahti, 11 in Kerava, 8 in Hamina, 7 in Salo, 7 in Nurmijärvi, 6 in Tuusula, 6 in Hyvinkää, 6 in Ylöjärvi, 5 in Mikkeli, 5 in Kouvola, 4 in Hollola, 4 in Kotka, 4 in Raisio, 4 in Jyväskylä, 4 in Porvoo, 3 in Vihti, 3 in Koski Tl, 3 in Vesilahti, 3 in Oulu, 3 in Lohja, 2 in Lappeenranta, 2 in Juva, 2 in Kuopio, 2 in Siilinjärvi, 2 in Savonlinna, 2 in Lieto, 2 in Järvenpää.

In addition, one new infection was confirmed in scattered cities across the country.

On Monday, a total of 422 new infections were confirmed with most new cases found in Helsinki (132), Vantaa (48), Espoo (40) and Turku (35).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 76, 845.
