There are 13,849 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Tuesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Monday and Tuesday is 294.

Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 43 in Helsinki (4,594), 43 in Vaasa (660), 42 in Jyväskylä (435) and 32 in Tampere (363).

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

23 in Mustasaari, 7 in Kouvola, 6 in Espoo, 6 in Maalahti, 5 in Ylöjärvi, 5 in Vöyri, 5 in Vantaa, 4 in Turku, 4 in Kangasala, 4 in Seinäjoki, 4 in Riihimäki, 4 in Hämeenlinna, 4 in Kuopio, 3 in Janakkala, 3 in Uusikaarlepyy, 3 in Oulu, 3 in Loviisa, 3 in Kajaani, 3 in lahti, 3 in Pietarsaari, 3 in Pedesöre, 2 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Kotka, 2 in Lempäälä, 2 in Porvoo, 1 in Nokia, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Pori, 1 in Kerava, 1 in Loppi, 1 in Forssa, 1 in Järvenpää, 1 in Lappeenranta, 1 in Heinola, 1 in Tammela, 1 in Kristiinankaupunki, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Närpiö.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.

Currently, there are 62 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. The number has grown by 6 since last Friday. 7 people are in intensive care, which is one more than on Friday.

No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 351.
