There are 14,071 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Wednesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Tuesday and Wednesday is 222.

Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 66 in Helsinki (4,660), 25 in Jyväskylä (460) and 23 in Espoo (1,501).

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

15 in Oulu, 9 in Turku, 8 in Loviisa, 8 in Vantaa, 7 in Kuopio, 7 in Vaasa, 7 in Tampere, 6 in Porvoo, 3 in Loimaa, 3 in Pietarsaari, 2 in Kangasala, 2 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Salo, 2 in Vimpeli, 2 in Kristiinankaupunki, 2 in Kotka, 2 in Nokia, 1 in Janakkala, 1 in Eura, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in lempäälä, 1 in Lappeenranta, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1in Rauma, 1 in Kemi, 1 Raasepori, 1 in Tornio, 1 in Tuusula, 1 in Kirkkonummi, 1 in Kerava, 1 in Kuhmo, 1 in Hollola, 1 in Pedesöre, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Pirkkala, 1 in Hämeenlinna.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.

Currently, there are 62 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. 7 people are in intensive care.

No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 351.
