There are 14,255 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 184.

4 new deaths have been confirmed, and the death toll is now 355.

Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 47 in Helsinki (4,660), 23 in Espoo and 15 in Vantaa.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

9 in Jyväskylä, 8 in Turku, 8 in Oulu, 4 in Raasepori, 4 in Kuopio, 4 in Kouvola, 3 in Rovaniemi, 3 in Kirkkonummi, 3 in Rovaniemi, 3 in Kristiinankaupunki, 2 in Hämeenlinna, 2 in Lappeenranta, 2 in Äänekoski, 2 in Vaasa, 2 in Kotka, 2 in Kerava, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Mustasaari, 2 in Hyvinkää, 2 in Maarianhamina, 2 in Kuruvesi, 2 in Kangasala, 1 in Loimaa, 1 in Lempäälä, 1 in Salo, 1 in Savonlinna, 1 in Kauniainen, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Eura, 1 in Ylivieska, 1 in Tampere, 1 in Lahti, 1 in Vimpeli, 1 in Tuusula, 1 in Ylöjärvi, 1 in Kuhmo, 1 in Riihimäki, 1 in Närpiö, 1 in Janakkla, 1 in Somero, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Pirkkala, 1 in Tornio, 1 in Vihti.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in Lapua and Luoto, but the number is unknown.

Currently, there are 65 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus, which is 3 more than in our report on Wednesday. 7 people are in intensive care.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
