From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 19,935 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Wednesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Tuesday and Wednesday is 288.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 95 in Helsinki (6,219), 30 in Espoo (2,320) and 25 in Vantaa (2,089).

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

14 in Turku, 12 in Oulu, 8 in Uusikaarlepyy, 7 in Kouvola, 7 in Mikkeli, 5 in Sodankylä, 5 in Nurmijärvi, 4 in Kotka, 4 in Kirkkonmmi, 4 in Tampere, 4 in Pedesöre, 3 in Pieksämäki, 3 in Tornio, 3 in Pietarsaari, 3 in Joensuu, 3 in Kerava, 2 in Kruunupyy, 2 in Rauma, 2 in Tervola, 2 in Sipoo, 2 in Vihti, 2 in Kempele, 2 in Loimaa, 2 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Kemi, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Kontiolahti, 1 in Kemijärvi, 1 in Lahti, 1 in Karkkila, 1 in Järvenpää, 1 in Siilinjärvi, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Siuntio, 1 in Ylöjärvi, 1 in Kuopio, 1 in Orimattila, 1 in Naantali, 1 in Ylitornio, 1 in Alajärvi, 1 in Pirkkala, 1 in Lappeenranta

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
