On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 269 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
65 in Helsinki, 35 in Vantaa, 19 in Espoo, 18 in Salo, 14 in Turku, and 12 in Tampere.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Oulu (10), Järvenpää (9), Vihti (6), Lahti (6), Hämeenlinna (5), Porvoo (4), Kerava (4).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 87,798.
