PORI—Pori Jazz 2021 that was scheduled to take place in July has been canceled for the second year in a row because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Tickets purchased for summers 2020 and 2021 will remain valid as such for Pori Jazz 2022,” the organization noted in a statement on Wednesday.

Although the festival is canceled, the organization will arrange a three-day concert Pori Jazz Plays Again at the legendary Lokkilava, a compact stage rising on green grass and surrounded by birches.

The concert is scheduled to begin on July 15 and features Finnish jazz groups such as Verneri Pohjola Quartet and Pepe Willberg & Jukka Eskola Statement. As an interesting highlight, Finnish jazz singer Aili Ikonen will perform songs by the British soul singer Dusty Springfield.
