From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 17,385 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Friday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Thursday and Friday is 266.
In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 74 in Helsinki (5,452), 45 in Espoo (1,976) and 25 in Vantaa (1,767).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
13 in Oulu, 10 in Turku, 7 in Tampere, 6 in Lahti, 4 in Loviisa, 4 in Kuopio, 4 in Jyväskylä, 3 in Rovaniemi, 3 in Kouvola, 3 in Tornio, 2 in Siilinjärvi, 2 in Kirkkonummi, 2 in Pori, 2 in Vihti, 2 in Kauniainen, 2 in Joensuu, 2 in Raisio, 2 in Lappeenranta, 2 in Muurame, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Raasepori, 1 in Karkkila, 1 in Hamina, 1 in Loppi, 1 in Kauhajoki, 1 in Harjavalta, 1 in Riihimäki, 1 in Parainen, 1 in Ii, 1 in Vöyri, 1 in Luoto, 1 in Forssa, 1 in Rauma, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Hämeenlinna, 1 in Aura.
In addition, new infections were reported in Sodankylä and Kemiönsaari but the numbers are unknown.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
No new deaths related to the coronavirus has been reported. The death toll is at 361.
Currently, there are 65 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. 15 people are in intensive care.
