From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 16,400 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Monday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Sunday and Monday is 109.
No new deaths have been reported. The death toll is at 358.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 26 in Helsinki, 26 in Espoo and 15 in Vantaa.
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
8 in Turku, 4 in Kouvola, 3 in Lappeenranta, 3 in Oulu, 3 in Kuopio, 2 in Muurame, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Kerava, 2 in Salo, 2 in Porvoo, 1 in Loviisa, 1 in Lahti, 1 in Sipoo, 1 in Järvenpää, 1 in Raisio, 1 in Vaasa, 1 in Joensuu.
In addition new infections were confirmed in Kauhajoki but the number is unknown.
During the weekend a total of 381 new coronavirus infections were reported.
On Saturday (total 203), most new infections were confirmed in Helsinki (30), Turku (26) and Espoo (24).
On Sunday (total 178), the largest number of new infections were found in Helsinki (45), Espoo (38) and in Vantaa (22).
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
Currently, there are 58 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. 10 people are intensive care.
