Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 39,593 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 258.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:

51 in Helsinki, 38 in Vantaa, 25 in Turku, 22 in Espoo and 12 in Oulu.
