There are 11,580 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Friday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Thursday and Friday is 235.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 64 in Vaasa (333), 48 in Helsinki (3,924), 14 in Vantaa (1,252) and 14 in Espoo (1,275).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
9 in Jyväskylä, 8 in Turku, 6 in Tampere, 4 in Porvoo, 3 in Nokia, 3 in Mustasaari, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Forssa, 2 in Loviisa, 2 in Kirkkonummi, 2 in Oulu, 2 in Ylöjärvi, 2 in Oulu, 2 in Vimpeli, 2 in Hyvinkää, 2 in Liperi, 2 in Sastamala, 2 in Hämeenlinna, 2 in Järvenpää, 1 in Kolari, 1 in Loimaa, 1 in Rauma, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Kruunupyy, 1 in Kuopio, 1 in Tuusula, 1 in Ylivieska, 1 in Joensuu, 1 in Pietarsaari, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Salo, 1 in Raisio, 1 in Valkeakoski, 1 in Vihti.
In addition, municipalities where the number of infections is currently unknown include Imatra, Uusikaarlepyy and Kristiinankaupunki.
New deaths have not been confirmed. The death toll is at 346.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
