There are 11,849 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Saturday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Friday and Saturday is 269.

Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 74 in Helsinki (3,998), 72 in Vaasa (405), 17 in Vantaa (1,269) and 16 in Espoo (1,291).

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

12 in Turku, 6 in Tampere, 4 in Kaarina, 4 in Mustasaari, 4 in Hämeenlinna, 3 in Loimaa, 3 in Vihti, 3 in Mikkeli, 3 in Kerava, 2 in Jyväskylä, 2 in Kruunupyy, 2 in Kokkola, 2 in Järvenpää, 2 in Kauniainen, 2 in Seinäjoki, 2 in Tuusula, 2 in Orimattila, 2 in Oulu, 2 in Hattula, 2 in Pietarsaari, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Liperi, 1 in Lieto, 1 in Rauma, 1 in Janakkala, 1 in Pori, 1 in Salo, 1 in Sastamala, 1 in Tornio, 1 in Lieksa, 1 in Kuopio, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Hanko, 1 in Ylivieska, 1 in Kotka.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in Vöyri, but the number is unknown.

No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 346.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
