There are 14,474 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Friday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Thursday and Friday is 219.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 64 in Helsinki (4,771), 18 in Espoo (1,542), 16 in Oulu (214) and 14 in Vantaa (1,449).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
11 in Turku, 11 in Kuopio, 8 in Närpiö, 6 in Kirkkonummi, 6 in Loviisa, 5 in Rovaniemi, 5 in Maarianhamina, 5 in Hyvinkää, 5 in Mustasaari, 4 in Salo, 3 in Raasepori, 3 in Pietarsaari, 3 in Kotka, 3 in Porvoo, 3 in Pedesöre, 3 in Tampere, 2 in Lahti, 2 in Uusikaarlepyy, 2 in Kouvola, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Maalahti, 1 in Vöyri, 1 in Forssa, 1 in Vaasa, 1 in Jyväskylä, 1 in Raisio, 1 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Hämeenlinna. 1 in Janakkala, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Kerava, 1 in Kokkola.
Currently, there are 65 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. 7 people are in intensive care.
No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 355.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
