Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 39,011 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Tuesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Monday and Tuesday is 221.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:

73 in Helsinki, 30 in Espoo, 28 in Vantaa and 18 in Oulu.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

16 in Turku, 14 in Kajaani, 6 in Sipoo, 5 in Ilomantsi, 3 in Kurikka, 3 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Järvenpää, 2 in Hämeenkyrö, 2 in Tuusula, 2 in Kauhava, 2 in Lahti, 1 in Paimio, 1 in Masku, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Maarianhamina, 1 in Utajärvi, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Sotkamo, 1 in Kirkkonummi, 1 in Loimaa, 1 in Lapua, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Kouvola, 1 in Kauniainen, 1 in Tampere, 1 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Puolanka.
