The second-highest temperature this year has been measured on Wednesday: 18.2 degrees Celsius in Seinäjoki. In comparison, Helsinki has been enjoying temperatures of as much as 15 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, the previous record for this year was measured in Kokemäki—at 17 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, the southern and central parts are expected to experience temperatures between 10 and 18 degrees.

“The weather of high pressure will continue on Thursday,” said meteorologist Joanna Rinne at the weather service Foreca.”

“On Friday, the winds turn to blow from the north. Chillier and more fluctuating weather will begin to spread from the north,” Rinne said.
