President Maia Sandu of Moldova will visit Finland next Tuesday for talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb on bilateral relations, regional security amid Russia’s war in Ukraine, Moldova’s EU accession, transatlantic ties, and global challenges.

President Maia Sandu of Moldova will pay a working visit to Finland next Tuesday. The visit will be hosted by Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
President Stubb and President Sandu are, according to the Finnish president’s office, scheduled to meet at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki to discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Moldova.
Their talks will also cover Russia’s war in Ukraine, the broader security situation in Europe, Moldova’s EU accession process, transatlantic relations, and global challenges.
Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen (NCP) and Cristina Gherasimov, Moldova’s deputy prime minister for European integration, will join the discussions.
During her visit, President Sandu will also meet other politicians and take part in a discussion on Moldova’s EU accession process organized by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) at the Finnish Parliament.
