President Alexander Stubb will host the JEF Leaders’ Summit in Helsinki on Thursday, prompting the police to implement security measures including traffic management and temporary closures in the city center, as well as restricted airspace to ensure safety during the event.

President Alexander Stubb will host the JEF Leaders’ Summit in Helsinki on Thursday.

The police will manage security and traffic arrangements related to the summit.

Temporary traffic closures and special traffic measures may occur in Helsinki city center due to the summit and guest movements, the police noted in a statement, with officers directing traffic as needed.

A temporary restricted airspace has been implemented over Helsinki city center from 16:00 to 23:00 on Wednesday, March 25, and from 08:00 to 23:00 on Thursday, March 26.

This restriction covers both manned and unmanned aircraft, including drones, to ensure the safety of the summit and official aviation operations.
