Wolt, the Finnish food delivery company with about 1,500 employees in Finland, has announced plans to reduce its Finnish workforce as part of an ongoing negotiation process.

Wolt is in talks to reduce its workforce in Finland by up to 30 positions. The total impact may affect 45 job roles overall.

The final number of roles affected will be decided through the negotiation process.

The Finnish food delivery company announced these job reduction plans on Wednesday via a press release.

Wolt currently has around 1,500 employees in Finland. The company stated that the planned job cuts will not affect Wolt’s approximately 10,000 couriers working in the country.

Wolt CEO Marianne Vikkula explained the job cuts by pointing to the company’s rapid growth, which “highlights the importance of speed and decision-making.”
