After the frosty days of the previous week and brighter evenings thanks to the thin layer of snow on the ground in the capital region, the mercury is going to climb closer to 6 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday the weather is going to become mild, followed by rains in most parts of the country.

Occasional rains are expected on Thursday while the average temperature is about 6 degrees with the exception of northern Finland where the temperature is likely to remain at 0 degrees. In central and northern Lapland, a couple of minus degrees are expected.
