Several coronavirus infections have occurred at student parties in different parts of Finland, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) reports. “As many as several hundred people have participated in the events. Those exposed to the coronavirus are placed in quarantine as a precaution,” THL noted in a news release on Friday.

THL recommends organizers to think twice about putting together large events. If events are organized it’s necessary to care of safety intervals and good hygiene.

“Various celebrations may lead to the spread of the disease,” Taneli Puumalainen, chief physician at THL, said in a statement. “Even if you have only mild symptoms, you should not take part in events or move around in public places.”
