Marking the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Finland reaffirms its solidarity with Ukraine through a series of meaningful initiatives, according to the Finnish Government’s communications department.

Ukrainian and Finnish flags will be prominently displayed at key sites, including the Government Palace and Senate Square, while the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will illuminate its building in Ukraine’s national colors.

In honor of the victims of the war, the “Light for Ukraine” event will be held at the Senate Square, where the public is invited to light candles between 15:00 and 20:00.

The event is organized in collaboration with several partners, including the Lutheran Church and the Ukrainian Association in Finland.
