There are 9,288 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Wednesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Tuesday and Wednesday is 93.

28 new infections have been confirmed in Helsinki (3,211), 10 in Jyväskylä (229), 7 in Espoo (1,093), 7 in Tampere (213), 5 in Mikkeli (97), 3 in Turku 323), 3 in Kirkkonummi (98), 3 in Vantaa (1,080), 2 in Järvenpää (140), 2 in Raisio (16), 2 in Kokkola (12), 1 in Kotka (28), 1 in Äänekoski (39), 1 in Mänttä-Vilppula (22), 1 in Hyvinkää (92), 1 in Pirkkala (15), 1 in Lahti (165), 1 in Vihti (38), 1 in Nivala (12), 1 in Kuopio (74), 1 in Ylöjärvi (19), 1 in Maarianhamina (18), 10 in Lieksa (the previous number unknown).

No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 341.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
