On Tuesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 692 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
184 in Helsinki, 86 in Tampere, 54 in Vantaa, 38 in Espoo, 31 in Turku, 29 in Jyväskylä, 14 in Lahti, 11 in Rauma, 10 in Hämeenlinna, 10 in Seinäjoki, 10 in Oulu, 8 in Vaasa, 8 in Ylöjärvi, 8 in Virolahti, 8 in Kuopio, 8 in Kotka, 8 in Kirkkonummi.
According to THL, 97 patients are receiving hospital care because of symptoms caused by the coronavirus. Of them, 7 are in intensive care.
