Last weekend, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 498 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
On Saturday and Sunday, most new cases were found in the following cities:
98 in Helsinki, 67 in Vantaa, 46 in Espoo, 39 in Turku, 23 in Tampere.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Salo (20), Lahti (17), Oulu (10), Jyväskylä (10).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 84,131.
