On Friday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 380 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
61 in Helsink, 40 in Tampere, 36 in Lahti, 33 in Espoo, 32 in Vantaa, and 22 in Turku.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Salo (7), Kangasala (7), Lappeenranta (7), Porvoo (6), Oulu (5), Kotka (5), Hollola (5).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 83,633.
Today, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) also reports two new deaths related to the virus.
The death toll is at 887.
85 patients (+3) are receiving specialized medical treatment, 42 (+0) patients are in primary health care and 34 patients (+0) are in intensive care.
