496 new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Finland on Wednesday, according to the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The total is now 43,616.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were found in the following cities:

115 in Helsinki, 69 in Vantaa, 37 in Turku, 33 in Espoo, 16 in Pori, 15 in Oulu.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

In addition, new infections were confirmed in Ähtäri, Suomussalmi and Pyhäranta, but the numbers are unknown.
