There are 8,200 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 39.

9 new infections have been confirmed in Helsinki (total 2,975). 10 in Jyväskylä (147), 6 in Espoo (987), 3 in Tampere (155), 2 in Oulu (107), 2 in Sipoo (82), 1 in Tuusula (73), 1 in Kittilä (29), 1 in Kerava (93), 1 in Kotka (23), 1 in Kuhmo (23).

No new deaths have been reported. The death toll is at 335. (The number has decreased by one after THL double-checked the numbers.)

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
