Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 31,459 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Tuesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Monday and Tuesday is 349.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:

94 in Helsinki, 44 in Vantaa, 18 in Espoo, 44 in Turku, 21 in Tampere and 18 in Espoo.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

16 in Jyväskylä, 11 in Oulu, 8 in Hämeenlinna, 8 in Masku, 7 in Rovaniemi, 5 in Kauhajoki, 5 in Raisio, 4 in Lahti, 4 in Alajärvi, 3 in Vaasa, 3 in Kaarina, 3 in Kuopio, 3 in Varkaus, 2 in Pirkkala, 2 in Karkkila, 2 in Salo, 2 in Imatra, 2 in Lempäälä, 2 in Kirkkonummi, 2 in Vihti, 1 in Valkeakoski, 1 in Säkylä, 1 in Kausinen, 1 in Mustasaari, 1 in Lieto, 1 in Loviisa, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Petäjävesi, 1 in Korsnäs, 1 in Laukaa, 1 in Ii, 1 in Siuntio, 1 in Mänttä-Vilppula, 1 in Pietarsaari, 1 in Mynämäki, 1 in Pori, 1 in Naantali, 1 in Kerava, 1 in Eura, 1 in Rusko, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Kouvola, 1 in Kauniainen, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Parainen, 1 in Alavus, 1 in Haapavesi, 1 in Lapua.

New infections were also reported in Punkalaidun but the numbers are unknown.
