Since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 31,110 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Monday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Sunday and Monday is 300.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were confirmed in the following cities:

110 in Helsinki, 41 in Vantaa, 19 in Espoo, 19 in Turku and 17 in Tampere.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

10 in Lahti, 9 in Oulu, 6 in Pieksämäki, 5 in Jyväskylä, 4 in Vaasa, 4 in Hollola, 4 in Kaarina, 4 in Kerava, 3 in Valkeakoski, 3 in Kirkkonummi, 2 in Hyvinkää, 2 in Kouvola, 2 in Porvoo, 2 in Nokia, 2 in Pietarsaari, 2 in Varkaus, 2 in Maalahti, 2 in Järvenpää, 2 in Lappeenranta, 1 in Lieto, 1 in Hämeenlinna, 1 in Haapavesi, 1 in Parainen, 1 in Kotka, 1 in Saarijärvi, 1 in Pornainen, 1 in Hattula, 1 in Jämsä, 1 in Pori, 1 in Akaa, 1 in Taipalsaari, 1 in Tuusula, 1 in Sastamala, 1 in Naantali, 1 in Tammela, 1 in Joutsa, 1 in Uusikaarlepyy, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Nurmijärvi, 1 in Sipoo, 1 in Muhos, 1 in Iiitti.

New infections were also reported in Lumijoki and Pyhtää but the numbers are unknown.

During the weekend between Saturday and Sunday a total of 737 new coronavirus were confirmed.

Most cases were found in Helsinki (222), Turku (71), Vantaa (71), Espoo (41) and Tampere (32).
