On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 280 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:


81 in Helsinki, 37 in Espoo, 25 in Vantaa, 14 in Kokkola.

New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Lahti (13), Turku (12), Tampere (8).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 89,270.
