265 new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Finland on Wednesday, according to the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The total is now 46,049.

In the past 24 hours, most new infections were found in the following cities:

64 in Helsinki, 46 in Vantaa, 25 in Espoo and 20 in Turku.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

8 in Järvenpää, 7 in Oulu, 7 in Tuusula, 6 in Kuopio, 6 in Kerava, 6 in Paimio, 5 in Jyväskylä, 4 in Uusikaupunki, 3 in Savonlinna, 3 in Kaarina, 3 in Kemi, 3 in Kotka, 3 in Joensuu, 3 in Tampere, 2 in Parainen, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Naantali, 2 in Lieto, 2 in Kankaanpää, 2 in Vihti, 2 in Rauma, 2 in Raasepori, 2 in Tronio, 1 in Laitila, 1 in Pöytyä, 1 in Nokia, 1 in Kirkkonummi, 1 in Koski Tl, 1 in Raisio, 1 in Pori, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Saarijärvi, 1 in Hämeenlinna, 1 in Ilomantsi,  1 in Kouvola, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Salo, 1 in Närpiö, 1 in Kokkola, 1 in Sulkava, 1 in Pyhäntä, 1 in Simo, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Laukaa, 1 in Loviisa.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in Pyhäjärvi and Salla but the numbers are unknown.
