There are 12,944 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).

The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 241.

Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 67 in Helsinki (4,229), 38 in Jyväskylä (576), 25 in Espoo, 24 in Vaasa.

In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:

15 in Vantaa, 8 in Tampere, 6 in Turku, 5 in Oulu, 4 in Vöyri, 3 in Porvoo, 3 in Tuusula, 2 in Rovaniemi, 2 in PUumala, 2 in Rauma, 2 in Hämeenlinna, 2 in Mustasaari, 2 in Vihti, 2 in Lahti, 1 in Kristiinankaupunki, 1 in Savonlinna, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Joensuu, 1 in Uusikaupunki, 1 in Loppi, 1 in Tornio, 1 in Hattula, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Loviisa, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Raasepori, 1 in Seinäjoki, 1 in Närpiö, 1 in Laukaa, 1 in Kauniainen, 1 in Kangasala, 1 in Riihimäki, 1 in Pietarsaari, 1 in Kuopio, 1 in Maalahti.

Currently, there are 48 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus; 8 people are in intensive care.

No new deaths have been confirmed. The death toll is at 350.

The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
