There are 13,133 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Friday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Thursday and Friday is 189. One new death related to the coronavirus has been confirmed. The death toll is now at 351.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 63 in Helsinki (4,359), 23 in Espoo (1,411), 13 in Turku (464) and 11 in Vantaa (1,361).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
10 in Vaasa, 8 in Lahti, 6 in Tampere, 4 in Jyväskylä, 4 in Hämeenlinna, 4 in Mustasaari, 4 in Porvoo, 4 in Oulu, 3 in Vöyri, 3 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Kaarina, 2 in Joensuu, 2 in Kirkkonummi, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Hanko, 1 in Vihti, 1 in Kittilä, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Salo, 1 in Kurikka, 1 in Pietarsaari, 1 in Imatra, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Loviisa, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Nurmijärvi.
New infections were confirmed in Juva and Lapinjärvi, but the number is unknown.
Currently, there are 56 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus; 6 people are in intensive care.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
