From the beginning of the pandemic, there are 15,566 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Thursday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday is 188.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 33 in Espoo (1,683), 32 in Helsinki (5,055), 22 in Vantaa (1,557) and 19 in Oulu (282).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
11 in Turku, 5 in Tampere, 5 in Rovaniemi, 4 in Raasepori, 4 in Kirkkonummi, 3 in Järvenpää, 3 in Kuopio, 3 in Nokia, 3 in Jyväskylä, 3 in Pori, 3 in Närpiö, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Riihimäki, 2 in Kotka, 2 in Salo, 2 in Kokkola, 1 in Raisio, 1 in Rusko, 1 in Akaa, 1 in Hyvinkää, 1 in Savonlinna, 1 in Hämeenkyrö, 1 Uusikaupunki, 1 in Uusikaarlepyy, 1 in Masku, 1 in Mikkeli, 1 in Hamina, 1 in Tuusula, 1 in Rauma, 1 in Porvoo, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Sipoo, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Tornio, 1 in Mäntsälä, 1 in Ulvila.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
Currently, there are 65 people in hospital care being treated for the coronavirus. This is 9 fewer patients than in our previous report on Wednesday.
10 people are intensive care, which is the same number as on Wednesday.
No new deaths have been reported. The death toll is at 354.
