The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 1,460 new coronavirus infections in Finland after the weekend on Monday.
Most new infections were confirmed in the cities below.
325 in Helsinki, 138 in Vantaa, 113 in Oulu, 90 in Espoo, 46 in Tampere, 40 in Turku, 33 in Jyväskylä, 32 in Lahti, 32 in Kokkola, 30 in Pori, 21 in Kuopio, 21 in Järvenpää, 19 in Kerava, 19 in Nurmijärvi, 17 in Kouvola, 17 in Kalajoki, 16 in Lappeenranta, 16 in Vihti, 15 in Provoo, 14 in Tuusula, 13 in Hämeenlinna, 13 in Seinäjoki, 12 in Tornio, 12 in Laukaa, 12 in Raahe, 11 in Liminka, 10 in Joensuu, 10 in Kemi, 9 in Kirkkonummi, 9 in Kotka, 9 in Ylivieska, 8 in Heinola, 8 in Jämsä, 8 in Harjavalta, 8 in Kruunupyy, 7 in Ylöjärvi, 7 in Mäntsälä, 7 in Kempele, 7 in Äänekoski, 6 in Hyvinkää, 6 in Siilinjärvi, 6 in Siikajoki, 6 in Keuruu, 6 in Leppävirta, 5 in Sipoo, 5 in Siuntio, 5 in Hanko, 5 in Liperi, 5 in Pyhäntä, 5 in Soini.
Currently, 226 patients are receiving hospital care for symptoms caused by the virus. Of those, 29 are in intensive care. THL also reports 12 new deaths related to the coronavirus since Friday.
