There are 11,049 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland, according to the new numbers released on Wednesday by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The number of new infections between Tuesday and Wednesday is 120.
Most new infections were confirmed in the following cities: 57 in Helsinki (3,803), 11 in Vantaa (1,223) and 11 in Espoo (1,240).
In addition, new infections were confirmed in the cities and municipalities below:
7 in Vaasa, 5 in Turku, 3 in Tampere, 2 in Hämeenlinna, 2 in Oulu, 2 in Tornio, 2 in Joensuu, 2 in Rovaniemi, 2 in Alavus, 1 Sastamala, 1 in Lohja, 1 in Kuopio, 1 in Liperi, 1 in Kaarina, 1 in Janakkala, 1 in Kruunupyy, 1 in Kempele, 1 in Järvenpää, 1 in Vimpeli. In addition, new infections were confirmed in Pukkila but the number is unknown.
New deaths have not been confirmed. The death toll is at 346.
The individual statistics of new infections don’t include municipalities where there are fewer than 5 infections.
